The first step towards compliance is to carry out a legionella risk assessment of the building water services. Our specialist water consultants carry out the risk assessment in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice. The assessment will include:
- Checks to ensure water storage tanks and heaters are clean and compliant with the water supply (water fittings) regulations 1999.
- A check of the condition of the water distribution systems.
- Water temperature testing to ensure temperatures are satisfactory for the control of legionella.
- Digital photography of plant highlighting areas of concern
- Provision of CAD schematic diagrams of the plant and distribution system.
- Recommendation remedial works to be carried out to ensure compliance.
- The introduction of a PPM programme (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and of a management structure programme to comply with A.C.O.P. L8 and HSG274
